Today it's been raining, so I didn't bother going into work emailed in to say I was working from home.
Things are really busy at the moment, the movers come round tomorrow to give us an estimate on home much it's going to cost to ship stuff back to the UK - Luckily my new employers are picking up that bill.
I also have to do some sort of tax return, as the Australian government owes me some of tax back. My cunning plan was to pay an accountant money to sort it all out for me, however turns out I can't just dump a years worth of recipts on bhis desk and pay him to sort it out. So a weekend of recipt sorting it is.
We also plan to visit the local buddist temple, drink green tea and eat awsome food.

We appear to have a pet Possum.
The delightful little fella has been wandering round the backyard most evenings this week, and seems fairly happy hanging around whilst we're out there.
It's turning out to be a bit like a zoo here. |

Would have liked to have been at the Moot, but alas, it wasn't so.
In the meantime, I have been working on a further bunch of applications, and currently subscribe to the law of mass action - Surely more applications will lead to eventual UK employment.
Have an interview at Oxford Brookes, will see how it goes, might actually make my aim of getting back in the summer.
So, it's suck it up, and hope. |

BA Cabin Crew Strike!

I would like to voice my support for the BA cabin crew in the strike action. As a socialist I firmly believe in the power and strength of strike action in pursuing action with regard to employment. Whilst I'm unsure of the reasons for the strike action, and to be fair I fail to trust the BBC to provide impartial reporting of the details. I support that people can strike to enact a change.
What surprises me, is that people seem outraged about the timing, and whilst this is the worst time for travellers, it is also the time when this strike action has maximum impact, and the possible chance of enacting a change.
I really don't know enough details of the reasons for the strike action, to be able to support their cause, but I still support the right of unions to force change.
This action may ruin my christmas, it may leave me stranded on the hemisphere to my family, at a time when I would want to be with them, and yes I will be upset about that. I will undoubtedly be one of the masses requesting a flight on a different carrier.
If it ruins my christmas, it ruins my christmas! If it forces through a change that is just and right, well my ruined christmas is a fair price to pay! |

| Hometime |

It's only just hit me that this time next week we will be landing the UK. I'm looking forward to it immensely!
I have interview for my old job in Cardiff on Tuesday, so we'll see if I have a job in the UK.
I'm planing on making it upto Cardiff at some point over January, or multiple points if I can.
If I don't get round to seeing people, I'll be back for good in July (Hopefully!) and can see people then. |

Started booking for events post-Xmas, yay! Super keen, in that newbie kind of way. Infact I may even roleplay, interact with plot, roleplay to interact with plot! There is a mountain of possibilities. Anyway, I need some kind of cool idea for a secondary character to play at Niklasmass<5. It requires maxium fun potential, with minimum effort! MAXIMUM FUN!
